Feeling the Pink provides a breast self-examination gel glove that will help save lives from Breast Cancer. Feeling the Pink help to educate and encourage women to love their breasts and to help make breast self-examinations a ten minute routine every month, because Early Detection Saves Lives.

“If only we had found out earlier then something could have been done.” A harrowing sentence at any time, but unfortunately for some 12,000 families in the United Kingdom in 2009, this phrase will be repeated and repeated. The stark fact of the matter is that Breast Cancer is the second highest killer of females in the UK.

The medical profession and Cancer experts, all stress that Early Detection Saves Lives. The earlier the symptoms can be diagnosed the more choices of treatment are available and the better the chance of recovery there is.

So why are so many women (and men) dying from this disease?
Well one of the main reasons for this is that not many women examine themselves and what is more, even less examine themselves on a regular basis.

In 2005 Breakthrough Breast Cancer carried out a “British Boob Survey” which identified that 80% of the women asked had not checked their breasts for signs and symptoms of breast cancer in the previous month. 52% of the women surveyed (over half) had not even thought about their breasts during an average day and more shockingly, 47% of those asked, did not check their breasts because they did not know how to examine themselves.

Some women will not examine themselves because of the “well it won’t happen to me” mentality. Others because they simply do not know how to check their breasts and others would be too embarrassed to ask anyone for fear of looking foolish. There will be those that are worried that they might find an abnormality.

Feeling the Pink recognise these fears and therefore provides a gel glove, with a fully instructional DVD which answers all those questions about how to examine the breast for abnormalities. Infact this is the only self-examination product to contain an educational DVD.

  • Women can now be taught the correct technique for self-examination in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
  • The Breast Sense gel glove helps to increase the sensitivity of touch, by reducing the friction caused by touching.
  • The gel glove comes with a convenience pouch which is ideal to hang in the shower as a visual reminder to self-examine.
  • An examination guide booklet is also included which includes a 2 year calendar to help in keeping control.
